Simon Mullins is a CeMAP-qualified Finance Broker based in Clifton Private Finance’s Cardiff office. He joined the company in March 2023 through its graduate programme and has worked as a broker since November 2023.

Simon arranges bridging finance across a wide range of loan requirements, with particular experience in regulated bridging loans used to purchase a new home. He especially enjoys helping clients who need to break a property chain, downsize, or secure their next family home before an existing property has sold.

He understands that these transactions are often driven by important personal circumstances rather than purely financial objectives. Simon takes time to understand what the move means to the client, explain the available funding options, and keep them informed throughout the process.

His role involves assessing the proposed transaction and exit strategy, researching suitable lenders, and coordinating with the client, lender, solicitor, and valuer through to completion. He finds achieving a successful outcome particularly rewarding when bridging finance enables a client to proceed with a home that might otherwise have been lost.

Simon values the collaborative nature of Clifton’s dedicated bridging team and enjoys working alongside colleagues to find solutions for cases involving unusual circumstances or demanding completion timescales.

Outside work, Simon enjoys playing and watching sport, particularly football and cricket. He is also a keen singer, performing with a mixed choir and joining friends for Welsh rugby matchdays.
