Scott Dutfield is a CeMAP-qualified Senior Finance Broker based in Clifton Private Finance’s Cardiff office. He joined the company in February 2022 and has since developed extensive experience arranging bridging finance for a wide range of property transactions.

Scott advises on both regulated and unregulated bridging loans, including auction purchases, chain breaks, property refinancing, capital raising, and development exit finance. He also has experience helping clients release capital from UK property to fund purchases overseas.

With a master’s degree in finance from Swansea University, Scott combines his academic background with practical experience of managing bridging transactions from initial enquiry through to completion. He works closely with clients, lenders, valuers and solicitors to identify appropriate funding terms and keep time-sensitive cases progressing.

Scott particularly enjoys the variety involved in bridging finance and is comfortable working across straightforward and more complex circumstances. His experience includes substantial facilities and transactions involving listed properties, overseas purchases, and demanding completion timescales.

Outside work, Scott leads an active lifestyle and enjoys golf, football and tennis. He is also a committed gym-goer and regularly starts his day with an early-morning training session.
