Sam Baker is a CeMAP-qualified Senior Finance Broker specialising in regulated and unregulated bridging finance. He joined Clifton Private Finance through its graduate scheme in 2020 and has since progressed through the business, developing several years of practical experience in specialist property lending.

Sam advises homeowners on regulated bridging loans for circumstances including downsizing, breaking a property chain, refinancing and funding home improvements. He also works with property investors and developers on unregulated transactions such as auction purchases, development exits, and property refurbishment.

He manages cases from the initial enquiry through to completion, researching the market, presenting suitable funding options and coordinating with lenders, solicitors and valuers. Sam places particular importance on organisation and prompt communication, ensuring his clients remain informed throughout what can often be a time-sensitive process.

His experience covers both straightforward funding requirements and more complex cases involving urgent deadlines, unusual property circumstances, or an existing bridging facility that needs to be refinanced.

Outside work, Sam is a self-taught guitarist and drummer who regularly performs with a local band across South Wales. He has also taken up running and enjoys eating and drinking out.
