Biography
Oliver co-founded Clifton Private Finance in 2016 to address the lack of innovation in the specialist property finance sector. Having originally trained for the Bar, his career spans over 20 years and is underpinned by an entrepreneurial approach to wrapping creative solutions around gaps in the personal and business finance markets.
Oliver spent his first decade in financial services developing a mortgage brokerage and specialist advisory services to HNW professionals, culminating in running one of the first Chartered Financial Planning firms in the UK. Since then, he has co-established several enterprises, with a particular focus on asset backed advisory services.
Today, Oliver coheads the growth of Clifton Private Finance and its aspiration to become the trusted partner in the specialist lending space for both individuals and businesses. Clifton’s dedicated team of over 30 professionals offer financial solutions across bridging and development finance, high-net-worth residential and commercial mortgages, mortgages for expatriates and foreign nationals, as well as tailored business finance options.
Empowering technology when appropriate to do so, Clifton also recognises the importance of ‘traditional’ customer service, and the need to build lasting relationships based on trust, first-class communication and excellent service as standard. This has been recognised in our awards to date, including “Service Excellence” and “Regulated Bridging Broker of the Year” at the B&C Awards in 2022 and 2023.
